Services for young people

Treatment for children and young people is an emerging area. Young New Zealand-born Pacific people are a growing group with higher levels of need. Most treatment for young people with alcohol and drug issues is provided in community settings that are varied in nature. There are some young people’s community-based day programmes and residential treatment programmes available.

If you would like to discuss anything about any of these types of treatments, the alcohol drug helpline (0800 787 797) offers free confidential information, help and support.

We also offer a dedicated Alcohol Drug Helpline Youth Service on 0800 787 YTH.  Or text us by texting adh to 234 and will text you back to see how we can help.
